We used chicken wire as a fence. Not the prettiest, but it gets the job done. I haven't had to kill a bunny in the garden for a year and a half now.
I forgot I had some deer/rabbit fence from last year...you know, like plastic mesh? I broke down and we got that hammered in but it's such a pain. I wanted chicken wire but it was going to cost us over $250 to do it. Cross your fingers this works...I can't waste another 4 hours sitting out there with the .22! LOL.
Mandy, We tried the plastic stuff. It didn't work, the rabbits ate holes in it that they could fit through. We live in the desert where there isn't a lot of green except where people plant it, so maybe you'll have better luck. The rabbits may think it's too much trouble to have to chew through the fence to get in...Andy
Get you a Rat Terrier dog and train it to eat the rabbits. That is what my Dad did and he never has any problems. As far as what we do, we just use fencing.
I have an English Mastiff! You'd think that 220 pound beast would scare em off. So far though, that rabbit/deer fence seems to be working...so far...(fingers crossed)
